Sorry, gonna be selfish here - I think I'm entitled, as this
is my chance to put forward my own agenda. Why do I seem to be the target
of abuse and ridicule from 'visitors' to Wayne's psyche? We have as a
team, and on occasions just myself and Wayne, tried to ask if he has some
deep seated repressed anger or resentment towards me that may be coming
from his subconscious.

Wayne
says 'no' and proceeds to massage my ego with what a great guy I am and
how close we have become over the last few years (no, not in that way)
and states there is no conscious or sub-conscious 'issues' to resolve.
But then if it was sub-conscious, he wouldn't know, would he? This does
raise an important question that I would like to tackle here and may elaborate
on in 'Wayne's Weird World'; is Wayne actually psychic?
No, Wayne is not psychic, its an act. You and everyone else is being
conned.
I
don't buy that for a second. Not because he's my cousin and I trust him
implicitly but purely from the point of view no one is that good an actor,
or liar. If it was a lie we would have rumbled it a long time ago. I think
it is an accepted fact that liar's need a very good memory and Wayne (no
offense Wayne) has a lousy memory. The other issue would be for what purpose?
We don't make any money, so it's not that. He is a modest well grounded
man and does not need attention to boost his ego he gets plenty of love
from friends and family. As this goes on the web we have not yet signed
a book, film or TV deal and as far as we are concerned the only person
reading this site is Nightshift members, my mum and some random people
who have stumbled on this site by chance or because we have begged them
to give us feedback. So it's not for publicity. I also believe and have
observed that Wayne's posture, face and gestures actually change - this
is method acting that would put the RSC to shame if this is true. The
reaction of other people that have observed these episodes have gone away
feeling disturbed or down right scared. So no, move on, next argument.
No, Wayne is not psychic it is all part of an imaginative sub-conscious
that comes out to play when he intentionally or unintentionally puts himself
in some sort of self hypnotic state.
Yes, I could buy into that. Ros and I have discussed that
on numerous occasions and have also discussed it at length with Wayne.
He has actually conceded it is possible but as time goes on and his memory
of experiences leading up to and immediately after possession improves,
he thinks this does not explain his experiences and the feelings he gets.
Skeptics would argue that Wayne is either a con artist or some poor deluded
idiot, that although a nice guy, isn't psychic, just merely thinks he
is. Watching Karl Beatie on the 'Great Unexplained Debate' (who has an
infinitely greater experience of psychics) is the voice that play's in
my head as the voice of the archetypal skeptic. Having met a few psychics
now there are very few I would trust and I am not entirely sure what 'psychic'
may mean (more on that in a moment). So that brings me back to Wayne having
an issue with me and this being an over active imagination. We have also
discovered that Wayne has been hypnotised before as part of a stage hypnotists
act. The clues are there, could it explain the lack of detail in relaying
specific information of a 'spirit's' life and death? Yes, possibly, but
so could the fact that his abilities have not yet fully developed. Certainly,
this is a possible explanation for his 'psychic' ability. Only time will
tell.
Yes, he's psychic and he's channeling the dead.
Aye,
there's the rub. I think based on my experience with Wayne and his 'episodes'
I am inclined to think that there is genuine ability but will admit I
occasionally buy in to the previous argument. All I really know is that
until I am proved otherwise I am going to pursue as much information from
these 'visits' as I can so that I can prove for Wayne, myself and anyone
else that the dead are in contact with us.
