The Nags Head Report - The Nightshift Team Venue Analysis
We
started the evening at 10:45pm by doing an EMF sweep in the caves beneath
the pub. The kettle and extension cord in the ‘Top cave’
near the foot of stairs leading to the bar was a ‘hot zone’
for EMF but did not extend into the room to any great degree. High EMF
readings were also found in the passage way opposite the ‘Northern
cave ’ stairs leading up.
Lee was interested to see if anyone was affected by the high EMF particularly
Wayne and El. No one complained of any ‘fear cage’ symptoms
but El felt ‘something’ in the ‘Lower caves’ which
did not register any EMF. The feeling she got was despondency and sensed
a priest or monk saying prayers over people with the impression that it

By 11:10pm we decided to do a vigil in the ‘Top Cave'. El sensed a man sat in a high backed chair inviting us to sit. She felt this was a party room that held Victorian séances.

During the course of conversation El mentioned she could trigger the CellSensor
EMF meter but not the KII.
We got settled with El sat at the table at the end of the chamber, with Wayne opposite. Ros was seated to El’s left with Lee then Ben to her right. A ‘ping’ sound was heard but not picked up by the recorder which correspondend to Ros being hit on the sholuder with a T-light. After a few minutes Wayne felt uncomfortable with having his back to the ‘Northern cave’. El went quiet explaining to ‘William’ the modern way of communicating in séances.

El started to get the impression of scientific drawings connected with a University and that he was a 3rd generation spiritualist. As to his academic subject; she got the impression of something like Geology? Something fossil related?
El then mentioned that ‘William’ was aware of and knew of a connection to Wayne of a dark spirit. El again went quiet and explained she was attempting to draw ‘William’ into our time and mentioned she was being shown a bell and a candle.

minutes in and Wayne sensed something ‘dark’ that wanted to
come in but couldn't or was too scared to, at the top of the stairs leading
down near the main exit, he also stated that he saw a hand on the wall.
Lee, Wayne and Ros complained of getting colder and Lee thinks he saw an orb. Wayne also complains of feeling sick. Ros took a couple of photos of Wayne following a spot of retching. El called out to anything in the room to affect Lee or Ben at which point Ben closed down and started to cry.

asked whatever it was to ‘step back’ and Ben quickly recovered.
Wayne got agitated saying ‘You got to go, I’m not happy about
that’ El then related some of the other visual impressions she was
getting from ‘William’ including oatmeal with an opiate mixed
in and the sense that the séances in the past had a large amount
of ‘fakery’ going on. She sensed that ‘William’
was now letting other entities to come forward and mentioned that he was
a Spiritualist to fund his studies. The ‘fun’ stopped when
the ‘dark’ entities came through and El sees a younger ‘William’
at this time. Ben complains of stomach discomfort and sickness. After
about half an hour Wayne exclaims ‘Why’s there's two!?’
El feels there are up to seven entities. Wayne feels uncomfortable sensing
that one is more active than the others.

feels that ‘William’ had stood back and that she was being
presented with a snapshot of time and that he had left part of himself
here to protect people (‘stone tape’?). Wayne ‘see’s’
the colour ‘red’, animals and bloodied walls. When asked to
clarify El said the room is ‘red’ with blood and that the
bad guys in the ‘Small Stair Room’ were interlinked, a gang
building up. She continued to sense a lawless gang and mob rule. The feeling
that land owners controlled people, with those that didn't comply being
taken to this area of the caves to intimidate them. El gets the visual
impression of a man cowering and stating that he hadn't believed the stories
of the intimidation and had thought the tales to be a myth.
El
states she needs ‘de-cloak’ the leader as he is keeping himself
hidden. Wayne again senses something on the stairs. El picks up on the
name Henry Cunningham as the leader. Also, a Harry Black but is not sure
if that is a pseudonym or an associate. She also gets the name Peterson
or ‘Peter’s son’ and again gets the impression of seven
entities or gang members. She feels these people are higher than gang
thieves, that they controlled people by creating the format of a coven;
ruling through fear for the landowners. There was , El feels the sense
of no authority and general social disorder. Ros asked if it was pre Anglo
Saxon. El got the sense of more medieval, maybe 12th century?

A Charles John Stanley, a Tobias Avebury (Ambery, Avesbury) believed by El to be Cavalier officers. El also picks up on the name Litterton whom she believes to be a senior officer.

asked everyone if they thought the room had darkened. Wayne stated “I
can see something to your left clear as day” (to El). El picked
up the name Jacob Emerson and felt that her feet were bound and the sensation
of friction burns. She felt that people were brought here before conviction
to extract confessions and that this has something to do with the ‘Pit
Room’. After a while Wayne went quiet and Ros noted that both El
and Wayne were subconsciously mirroring one another with one hand on their
chests. Lee tries to get some taps in reply to some knocking of his own.

After this interesting episode we decided to go for a break and discuss
what had just happened. El kept getting the impression of lead coffins
via her connection with Wayne. Wayne feels ‘funky’, ‘I
feel quite happy’. Refreshed? Released? ‘Yes’. El described
her link to Wayne like in a tube that allowed her to connect to impressions
of ‘Lt Dogrel’. She then explained that on the way to the
pub from Lee’s flat she felt followed and that this particular entity
latched on. She felt that he needed to step into his illness to be released
but wanted to show his former self (his glory days so to speak). This
might explain Wayne’s shifting body posture from a hunched, pained,
position, to a more relaxed, upright one.

We
were only given limited access to the upstairs living quarters so it was
decided that just Wayne and El would take the recorder and head upstairs.
El notes that it is ‘Quite creaky, lots of traffic noise’.
El – ‘I want to bring things up, a pulley’. She also
gets the impression of an older teenage girl that has ‘taken a shine’
to Lee 2. She seemed to be presenting herself in 1930’s style clothing.
She also gets the impression of a finger being waved at her. She then
picks up on the name Maisey Dower (or Down). Wayne however, doesn’t
pick up on anything. As they conclude the session and leave the room we
capture one of our clearest and most impressive EVPs to date (Upstairs
Quarters EVP).

and Ben did an EMF sweep of the bar. This was a good opportunity for Ben
to be given some hands on training. They quickly found a ‘hot spot’
behind the built-in seats against the front wall. El detects a gentleman
sat in a corner seat. The more obvious high EMF areas were noted such
as the tills and we moved down back into the caves.
We noted that the caves were misty or foggy which was probably candle smoke, though this theory hasn't been proven, and moved into the ‘Long cave’ for a spot of glass turning.
